We are currently looking for a highly motivated supervisor well versed in all phases of hospital environmental services
Directs and oversees activities related to environmental control including staffing, scheduling, coordinating, and planning. Develops and maintains new and current programs and policies to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local environmental and safety and health regulations and files required reports. Identifies all current and potential environmental risks and takes appropriate measures to eliminate or control them. Directs planning and establishing of department schedules and follows up performance against estimates. Responsible for business development, quality, improvement, human resources management, and recruiting and training of department staff. Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary. Oversees preparation and control of contract annual budget. May represent company in dealings with governmental officials enforcing environmental and safety regulations.
Duties not limited to:
. Facilitate the evaluation of EVS employees thru quality control; prepare work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
. Monitor EVS employees to ensure compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission, Federal, State and Local regulations and directives.
. Inspect cleanliness, sanitation and infection control of facility; taking corrective action where and when necessary.
. Seek to establish the highest possible public relations with facility personnel.
. Screen candidates for EVS positions and deliver competency based training to ensure customer standards are exceeded.
. Prepare payroll reports for EVS staff via automated time and attendance systems.
. Manage costs by monitoring supply usage for appropriateness and efficiency.
. Conduct QA Inspections and implement corrective action tasks and plans
. Pursue professional growth through self-education, and on-the-job training

Candidates must have 5 years experience as an EVS Supervisor in a Health Care/Hospital Setting. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Infection Control Techniques, Aseptic Cleaning methods, CDC, OSHA, and JCAHO Standards. Candidate must pass all background and medical physical.
