The Maintenance Planner is the on-site expeditor of materials and works with maintenance superintendent in developing the scheduled maintenance programs and processes for the production facility to minimize impact on production. The planner provides a safe operating environment by planning installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment and utility systems.  

Function

 The Maintenance Planner is the on-site expeditor of materials and works with maintenance superintendent in developing the scheduled maintenance programs and processes for the production facility to minimize impact on production. The planner provides a safe operating environment by planning installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment and utility systems.  

 

  • To enter work orders/process notifications from all departments.   Also, enter in all necessary information for the work orders for tracking/history purposes.
  • To be able to spec the job and determine parts, material and tools needed.
  • To be able to order parts and material through on-line requisitions and to work with the storeroom and maintenance personnel in getting the parts, material and tools needed to perform the job.
  • To enter in an estimation of hours in how long it takes to do a job and process time sheets in excel for payroll.
  • To close all work orders and enter damage, cause and activity codes.
  • To help create, enter PM routes, schedule and track.
  • To work with maintenance supervisors in scheduling work in the scheduler.
  • To train and assist in training employees in the plant maintenance module.
  • Follow up on all report and tracking features to maintain the position as SAP Master Data Administrator.

Requirement Note

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in a manufacturing work environment or one year WF Wood Products or military experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with CMMS –Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Demonstrated math and reading comprehension skills and posses written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated pattern of safe behavior and adherence to plant safety, quality, reliability, and productivity standards.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the maintenance work order system.
  • Be willing to acquire additional education / skills via continuing training courses as necessary or required.
  • Own or be willing to purchase a complete set of hand tools in accordance with the tool requirement list within 60 days of job assignment, which includes incorporating a tool bag or belt to reduce time to respond to problems
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime when needed.

    $15 -$17 an hour Monday-Friday
