Color Coded Cleaning Program
Sizemore Janitorial Services has implemented the Color Coded Cleaning Program to assist in defining designated cleaning areas, cleaning tools, and cleaning processes by color scheme. The purpose of Color Coded Cleaning is to segregate janitorial equipment, materials, and procedures as a means of minimizing cross-contamination of workplace areas and increasing employee efficiency.
- RED: Materials such as cleaning rags, mop heads, and mop buckets are used in areas with high levels of contamination, such as restrooms are designated red to prevent the risk of spreading infection.
- GREEN: Materials such as cleaning rags that are used where there is a moderate level of contamination present such as counter tops, sinks, and mirrors are designated green.
- BLUE: Materials such as cleaning rags, mop heads, and mop buckets that are used to clean areas with a low risk of contamination such as windows, window ledges, and low traffic floors are designated blue.
